Diana is VP, People at Galileo Learning, a nationally recognized best place to work. Her vision is to create an environment where nearly 3,000 staff in the Bay, Southern California and Chicago say, “Galileo is the place I’ve learned the most, with the best people I’ve ever met.” She is responsible for the whole HR continuum from talent acquisition to performance management to diversity and inclusion and benefits. Prior to Galileo, she was at Teach For America, a national nonprofit focused on educational equity and one of the most diverse pipelines of educators in the field. She held several positions in her nine years there, including Chief Communities Officer, VP of New Site Development, Sr Managing Director of Regional Fundraising and Managing Director, District & School Partnerships. Previously, Diana worked at Oakland Unified School District, supporting school openings and closures, college readiness, family engagement and strategic planning. Prior to that, Diana did public relations and corporate communications at Yahoo! and at a hi-tech boutique PR firm, Walt & Co.
Diana was previously the board chair of Streetside Stories, a 22-year old San Francisco-based literacy & arts education non-profit, a founding board member of One Acre Fund, a non-profit focused on eradicating poverty and hunger for farmers in Africa and board vice chair at Yu Ming Charter school, a K-8 mandarin immersion school in Oakland. Diana holds a B.A. from UCLA, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. She loves travel, poker, cooking and discovering new adventures with her husband and two kids.
